The PEG-INTRON®
(Peginterferon alfa-2b) Powder for Injection REDIPEN® is the first and
only pen delivery system approved for administering pegylated interferon
therapy. It contains the same medication as the
PEG-INTRON vial, and is designed to make preparing
and injecting PEG-INTRON®; easier than
ever.
"With the small needle, self-priming feature and large,
easy-to-read dosing knob, PEG-INTRON
REDIPEN® is designed to help patients feel confident that they are
getting an accurate dose and offers an easy-to-use alternative for people who
may be intimidated by a traditional needle and syringe
system."

Administering medication with the
PEG-INTRON REDIPEN® involves a few
preparatory steps, such as assembling supplies and washing your hands, mixing
the medication, setting the dose, injecting the medication, and then disposing
of the PEG-INTRON REDIPEN®. All of the
supplies you will need are included in the
PEG-INTRON REDIPEN® package, referred to
as the dosing kit.
